About
Monastic life rearranged my understanding of time long before it rearranged anything else, teaching me that faith and doubt are not opposing armies but two voices sharing the same cell, each insisting the other listen. Years of silent hours, of bells that organize a day around attention rather than achievement, gave me a tolerance for unfinished questions that the secular world tends to find unbearable. My contemplative fiction is built around that patience: characters who pray and falter, who keep vigil over their own contradictions, who discover that meaning rarely arrives on schedule. I write for readers willing to sit with mystery a little longer than is comfortable, and for anyone who suspects that the deepest answers in a human life are the ones we are humble enough not to insist upon.
